The Employee Caregiver Program Series

An easy way to make your workplace more caregiver-inclusive

AARP and Workable Concept have partnered to bring you
live, virtual programs you can use to
help employees balance their work and caregiving.

Why host a program series?

It's likely that 1 in 5 people in your workplace are providing part-time care for an adult. Over half don’t tell their supervisors about it, but all of them need to feel supported and included in your workplace. The AARP/Workable Concept program series prepares your colleagues to thrive at both work and in their caregiving roles.

Who can sponsor it?

Anyone who can gather a group of 30 or more employees! Often these are ERG leaders or program managers, DEI leaders, managers leading teams, internal conference/event planners, or senior leaders who want to message that they value a caregiver-inclusive culture.

How many people can join?

As many as your virtual meeting platform allows. We’ve run programs with 30-300 registrants across wide time zones.

What is the cost?

Program series that are fully confirmed by April 14, 2023 are no-cost.

Program delivery dates for these series can extend beyond this deadline.

How Can I Host?

Book a time here to ask questions or get help designing your series.

You just choose the topics and gather your team virtually. No paperwork, no contracts, no PO's or time consuming approvals. We'll bring the Guest Expert and all the content, tools and resources.

It really is this simple:

1. Choose a monthly series of 3 or 5 programs.

Each topic is designed as a 60-minute program. Email us to confirm the topics/ dates you’d like, or to request our help designing your series.

2. Invite your employees.

You can use these program descriptions in your invitations. Provide them with a link to the virtual meeting platform you’ll use to host.

3. Invite your AARP Guest Expert.

Invite the presenter to the virtual meeting so they know how to join you.

4. When the program starts, welcome attendees.

Your AARP Guest Expert will then share their screen, present to your team, field Q&A and provide follow up resources.

5. After the program, share the resources with your team.

We will create a custom landing page for you to share internally with your employees. For each topic in your series, it will include a .pdf of the presentation and links to supporting resources. This way, your team will always know where to go to find resources even if they can’t make every program session.
